PPP senator says govt ‘silent on Kashmir issue’
PESHAWAR: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) secretary information Senator Rubina Khalid has criticised the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government for what she believed was adopting mysterious silence on the Kashmir cause and said Pakistan is the only and last hope for the Kashmiri people.
Talking to reporters here on Monday, she said the rulers were rubbing salt into the wounds of the Kashmiris by adopting silence and ignoring the Kashmir issue. She said increasing corruption in the country has increased the price hike and miseries of common people.
Instead of providing relief to the nation, she said, the irresponsible and immature rulers have made life miserable for the people. Rubina Khalid said the rising prices of daily commodities have multiplied the problems of people who are worried about the two-time meal.
Contrary to their earlier commitments, she said, the rulers are not providing employment but instead depriving the poor of their jobs. She said it has become a routine practice to increase the prices of petrol every month and the same is the case with natural gas and electricity.
