Pervez Khattak visits family of slain girl child
NOWSHERA: Federal Minister for Defence Pervez Khattak on Wednesday assured all-out support by the federal government to the family in Ziarat Kaka Sahib area of the Nowshera district whose girl child was murdered recently. He held out the assurance as he met the father of the 8-year-old girl (HN) and other members of the aggrieved family.
The federal minister offered fateha and extended condolence to the grieving members of the family. He condemned the incident and said it had shocked all.
Pervez Khattak said he had directed the police officials to properly investigate the case so that the culprits could not escape punishment for the terrible crime. He said he would contact the Forensic Lab in Lahore to ask for an early report of the tests.
He said he was part of the government team which was holding talks with allies and opposition and hence continued visiting various parts of the country for the purpose, adding he was in Karachi for talks with Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan and later had to rush to Lahore.
The defence minister said despite all this he remained in touch with Chief Minister Mahmood Khan who was monitoring the progress in the child murder case. He requested the apex court to order the trial of the case through the Model Court to ensure speedy justice and consolation to the aggrieved family.
