‘Women remained integral part of PTI’s 22-year struggle’
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Vice-President Zahid Hussain Kazmi said Monday that women had been an integral part of the party’s 22-year struggle against the status quo and they deserved due acknowledgement and credit for this.
Kazmi said this while female parliamentarians and leaders of PTI called on him here, who is also Administrator of PTI. He made it clear that women remained integral part of PTI’s 22 year-long political struggle and they deserved equal credit for making PTI the most formidable political force of the country. On this occasion, Kazmi said that PTI has always strongly encouraged women to participate in the political process and give them a dignified position in the politics. He said that PTI has played a critical role in giving the women of Pakistan their political voice and will always support women empowerment unlike other political parties who have always failed to fulfil their promises to protect economic and social rights of women of Pakistan. He said that PTI will provide all possible opportunities being the ruling party and it has already given women their due rights imminent from the fact that projects like Kamyab Jawan and Hunarmand Pakistan have set a quota for women.
He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has impressed the people of Pakistan with his vision, perseverance and ideology. He added that the skill development programme will equip women with education, technology, training and vocational skills.
Ms Shamim Aftab, Member of Punjab Assembly from Sargodha, Ms. Sabrina Javed from Jehlum, Vice Chairman Chief Minister Complaint Cell Ms. Mehnaz Saeed, Ms. Fauzia Arshad, Ms. Parveen Shahid, former president of PTI Karachi, Ms. Faiza Zeeshan , Nargis Jabeen along with other women leaders from across the country were present during the meeting.
