SUKKUR: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah inaugurated the Mother and Child Care Hospital in Khairpur on Sunday.
The hospital was constructed in collaboration with the Iran government.
The chief minister addressing the ceremony said that Pak-Iran political, religious and social and economic relations are ancient and durable.
He said that the hospitals gifted by the Iran government to Khairpur, Thatta, Jacobabad, Thatta, Shaheed Benazirabad, Ketty Bandar, Dour and Larkana strengthened the relations between Pakistan and Iran.
He said that the Sindh government had pledged to provide basic facilities to the people at the doorsteps of the people of Sindh. He said that the 40-bed hospital is an addition to existing health facilities being provided to the people of Khairpur.
He said that Sindh government had initiated many development projects under public partnership to address the issues of the people of Sindh including the people of Thar.
He said that the Sindh government had allocated millions of rupees for mother and child care. Talking about the political issues, he said that local bodies elections ought be to held, but government wanted some time as the Sindh government prepared a contingency plan to hold the LB elections in better manner. He said that from Karachi to Kashmore, the law and order situation is better and under control.
