TIMERGARA: The All Class-IV Employees Association Lower Dir chapter has demanded the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and high-ups of Elementary and Secondary Education Department to sanction another post of watchman at all primary and middle schools in the province. The demand was made during a meeting of the association held at Balambat with its newly elected president Ubaidur Rehman in the chair. The Class-IV employees working in various government departments including education, health, C&W, TMA and irrigation were in attendance.

President all Class IV employees Lower Dir Ubaidur Rehman, vice-president Fazal Rabi, general secretary Rahatullah Roghani, C&W department vice-president Umar Daraz and others addressed the meeting. They demanded the government to ensure only eight hours duty for watchmen. The speakers thanked director education, Rafiq Khattak, DEO Lower Dir Dr Hafiz Ibrahim and Class IV employees' provincial president Akbar Khan Momand for exempting watchmen working at schools and hospitals of duty at day time. "We are watchmen not trained guards so we should be exempted of security duties," Ubaid said, adding that some time they were called to perform security duty as well. They also demanded time scale formula for Class-IV employees and quota in jobs for qualified workers. They threatened to come on roads if the government did not accept their demands.
