“The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa gave mandate to the PTI in the 2013 general elections, but its chief Imran Khan started daydreaming to become prime minister instead of serving his electorate,” Amir Muqam told a public meeting at Gulpur Killay in Union Council Makori here on Sunday.

Several notables of the area, including Salahuddin, Ismail, Waheedullah, Mumtaz Khan, Aurangzeb, Subhanullah and Ihsanullah and their relatives announced joining the PML-N at the meeting.

Amir Muqam said Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif will be the next prime minister as the party would sweep the upcoming general election on the basis of performance and development work being carried out in every nook and corner of the country.

He said the PML-N was the only political party that was near to end the electricity loadshedding to keep the industries functional.

He said that there would be two ideologies to compete in the next election. “One ideology is of PTI’s Imran Khan who always impeded the way of development and prosperity by staging sit-ins and rallies during the entire tenure, while the PML-N in accordance with its ideology focused on providing relief and employment to the masses, bringing peace and stability in the country and ending power loadshedding,” he added.

Earlier, Amir Muqam and MPA Jamshed Mohmand inaugurated the provision of natural gas to the Makori Union Council.
