ISLAMABAD: Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani has reached Belarus on a four-day official visit to boost parliamentary relations between the two countries.
The chairman Senate is visiting Belarus on the invitation of Chairman of Belarus’ Council of the Republic Mikhael Myasnikovich and heading the first ever parliamentary delegation from Pakistan comprising parliamentarians and officers of the Senate Secretariat.
Rabbani will hold separate meetings with the president, the prime minister, chairman House of Representatives (the upper house/National Assembly) and chairman of the Council of the Republic (the upper house/Senate) of Belarus.
During the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed between the upper houses of parliaments of both the countries to improve the parliamentary relations and experience sharing between the two secretariats.
The chairman will also visit Belarusian State Museum of History of the Great Patriotic War and would lay wreath at the Victory Museum. He will also visit the National Art Museum of Republic of Belarus.
