Karak residents stop SNGPL officials from repair work
KARAK: The residents of Nari Panos and Bahaderkhel union councils Sunday forcibly stopped the officials and workers of the Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) from repairing the main transmission line leading to Dera Ismail Khan and some parts of Punjab to protest non-provision of gas to the area.
Led by Inayat Shah, Haider and Raza Khan, the protesters reached Nari Panos main bus stop and forced the officials and workers of SNGPL to stop work on the main transmission line of gas leading to Dera Ismail Khan Khan, Bannu, Lakki Marwat and some parts of the Punjab province. A later a large number of people also came out of their houses and blocked the main road for traffic.They chanted slogans against the SNGPL officials and complained that the people of both the union councils were deprived of the gas facility.
