11 suspects arrested

LAHORE

Lahore police arrested 11 suspects, including three Afghans, at Raiwind and its adjoining areas on Sunday.

They were arrested after they failed to produce their identification papers for checking. Police have shifted them to  some undisclosed location for investigation. 

found dead: A 45-year-old man was found dead in the Muslim Town police area on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Jameel, a resident of Christian Colony, Kot Lakhpat. Police suspected that the man might have been killed by some unidentified swindlers. The body has been removed to morgue.

PHP arrest six POs: Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) claimed to have arrested 12 criminals besides rendering help to 1,255 travelers. PHP teams arrested six proclaimed offenders (POs), including Haji Muhammad, M Iqbal, Nadeem Abbas, M Rafique and Abdul Waheed. PHP teams arrested accused Ramiz, Bilal Ahmad, M javid, Asad Abbas and Arshad and seized 28 litre liquor, one pistol, one rifle and 235 gram charas from their possession. Meanwhile, PHP reunited a child, M Irfan, with their parents besides extending help to 1,255 road users. 

CCPO: Capital City Police Officer Capt (Retd) Muhammad Amin resolved a 37-year-old property dispute. The CCPO resolved the issue through mediation while chairing the meeting of the Overseas Pakistanis Commission. The CCPO resolved the matter by making a private housing sheme return Rs 5.6 million of an overseas Pakistan that he had paid for a plot but he did not get.
