Terrorists defeated on all fronts, says officials
MINGORA: General Officer Commanding, Malakand division, Major General Asif Ghafoor Sunday said the terrorists had been defeated on all fronts in the country.
Speaking at the Independence Day function in Khwazakhela here, he said that security forces were ready to lay down their lives for the defence of the motherland.
Minister for Sports and Culture Mehmood Khan, district nazim Muhammad Ali Shah and other civil and military officials were also present on the occasion.
He lauded the sacrifices of the people of Swat for the restoration of peace in the valley and added that a handful of terrorists could not terrorise the nation.
Schoolchildren presented tableau and sang national anthem. Folksingers also entertained the participants of the function. He also visited Cadent College and inspected parade at the college. He distributed prizes and shields among the cadets.
