Danish ambassador meets CM

Newly-appointed Ambassador of Denmark in Pakistan Ole Thonke met Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday. 

Matters of mutual interest, bilateral relations and promotion of cooperation in various sectors including energy were discussed. Speaking on the occasion, Shahbaz Sharif said good friendly relations exist between Pakistan and Denmark. He said Pakistan and Denmark have to further promote ties in trade, economic and social sectors and exchange of trade and industrial delegations of both the countries is utmost necessary. He said Wind Power Energy Company of Denmark is working on the project of generation of electricity through wind in Punjab besides Danish Company is working in health sector jointly with Punjab government. The CM said that a conducive atmosphere has been provided for foreign investors in the province. He said Danish investors can benefit from investment friendly atmosphere in Punjab and Punjab government will provide all out facilities to them in this regard. Danish Ambassador Ole Thonke said that there are lasting relations between Pakistan and Denmark and both the countries are working in the right direction for the promotion of cooperation in different sectors. He said that there are vast opportunities for the promotion of trade between both the countries.
