Pakistan Army warns India conflict could lead to catastrophic devastation

RAWALPINDI: In response to provocative statements from India’s Defence Minister, Army, and Air Force chiefs, Pakistan’s military issued a stern warning, cautioning that future conflict could lead to catastrophic devastation and that any aggression would be met with resolute, unrestrained retaliation.

“In the face of unwarranted threats and reckless aggression, the people and Armed Forces of Pakistan have the capability and resolve to take the fight to every nook and corner of the enemy’s territory,” stated the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a strongly worded statement Saturday.

The military’s media wing asserted that those seeking to establish a new norm must recognise that Pakistan has established a new norm of response, which will be swift, decisive, and destructive. “This time, we shall shatter the myth of geographic immunity, striking the farthest reaches of Indian territory,” the ISPR declared.

Addressing claims of erasing Pakistan from the map, the statement warned that India must understand that, if such a situation arises, the erasure would be mutual. The ISPR expressed grave concern over the delusional, provocative and jingoistic statements emanating from the highest levels of India’s security establishment. “These irresponsible remarks indicate a renewed attempt to fabricate arbitrary pretexts for aggression—a prospect that could have serious consequences for peace and stability in South Asia,” the statement noted.

For decades, India has benefited from portraying itself as a victim while depicting Pakistan negatively, all the while stoking violence and perpetrating terrorism in South Asia and beyond. “This narrative has been thoroughly debunked, and the world now recognises India as the true face of cross-border terrorism and the epicentre of regional instability,” the ISPR asserted.

The statement recalled that earlier this year, Indian aggression brought the two nuclear powers to the brink of major conflict. “However, India seems to have forgotten the wreckage of its fighter jets and the wrath of Pakistan’s long-range vectors. Suffering from collective amnesia, India now appears to be eager for the next round of confrontation,” the ISPR reminded India’s leadership in categorical terms.
