Pakistan Refinery CEO Zahid Mir to step down in 2025

KARACHI: Pakistan Refinery Ltd said its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Zahid Mir will step down at the end of December 2025, after more than six years at the helm.
Mir, who has led the company since August 2019, will stay on until December next year to ensure a smooth transition, the Karachi-based refiner said in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Thursday.
A petroleum engineer with an MBA, Mir has more than three decades of experience in the oil and gas sector, including senior roles at Shell, Kufpec, Premier Oil, and Oil and Gas Development Co Ltd, where he last served as chief executive.In June, PRL had extended his term for two years starting August 2025, but he has now opted to step aside.
