DIR: More than 38 micro-hydel power projects are being established in Upper and Lower Dir districts by the Sarhad Rural Support Programme (SRSP) to help reduce electricity crisis with the support of the European Union. SRSP’s Regional monitoring and evaluation officer, Fayyaz Ahmad Noor, said that 32 hydro power projects were being established in Upper Dir while five in Lower Dir. He was speaking at the opening ceremony of 80 kilowatts of hydropower projects at Adilo, Tarpatar, Usheri Darra, in Upper Dir. The residents of Tarpatar area appreciated the SRSP for launching the projects to provide electricity to them. — Correspondent
