30kg crystal meth seized in Landikotal
LANDIKOTAL: Police in Khyber district seized 30 kilograms of crystal meth (Ice) and arrested four suspects during two separate actions in Landikotal, officials said on Friday.
According to police, a vehicle was stopped at a checkpoint on the Landikotal Bypass. Upon searching the car, police recovered 14 kilograms of ice hidden in secret compartments. Two suspects, identified as Mamin and Amanullah, were arrested on the spot.
During initial interrogation, the suspects revealed the location of a drug den, prompting another raid.
Police recovered an additional 16 kilograms of Ice and arrested two more suspects, Turab-ul-Haq and Masood, residents of Khogakhel and Perokhel. District Police Officer Rai Mazhar Iqbal said the operations were part of an ongoing crackdown against drugs in line with the directives of IGP Zulfiqar Hameed.
