Motorway Police issue post-Eid travel advisory
The Motorway Police on Tuesday issued a travel advisory after the end of the Eid holidays for the commuters. Officials said the traffic flow is likely to increase on motorways and highways at the end of the Eid holidays.
The commuters have been requested to make their journey safe and comfortable by taking a few precautions. They should check the engine oil, water, tire pressure and brakes of the vehicle before starting the journey.
While driving, motorists should use seat belts, adhere to the speed limit, keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front and take care of the lane and line. Before a long journey, it is important for the driver to be completely refreshed and take some time to rest after two to two and a half hours of driving. Never drive while sleepy or drowsy. Those travelling in passenger vehicles can complain about overloading and overcharging on the Motorway Police Helpline 130.

It was stated that the Motorway Police continue to crack down on those who overcharge and overload on the occasion of the Eid.
The Motorway Police refunded more than Rs6.398 million to passengers against complaints of overcharging against passenger vehicles in different cities across the country. Moreover, strict checking of passenger vehicles on motorways and highways continues.
