Governor links stability to political unity
LAHORE:Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider emphasised the need for political unity and consensus to ensure the country's stability. He stressed that the upcoming budget should provide relief to the poor and middle class.
Governor made these remarks during a meeting with a delegation of the Pakistan Muslim League-Q, led by Rizwan Sadiq, here at Governor’s House. PPP Fateh Jang tehsil president Sardar Zaheer and Sardar M Ali were also present during the meeting. Governor highlighted the importance of unity and solidarity for the country's progress and prosperity.
He said that the coalition government's positive policies have led to improvements in various sectors, including the economy. Saleem Haider urged the government to prioritise providing maximum relief to the poor and middle class in the budget. He asked the government to take special steps to provide health and education facilities in remote areas of Punjab province. The PML-Q delegation praised governor, saying that he has always pursued politics of nobility and principles.
