Attack on Absar Alam: Arrest warrants issued against accused
Shalimar police had registered a case against six suspects for attempting to kill Absar Alam in April, 2021
ISLAMABAD: A local court on Monday issued arrest warrants for the accused who did not appear during the hearing of the case of murder attempt on former Pemra chairman Absar Alam, and adjourned the proceedings until June 21.
During the hearing in the court of Judicial Magistrate Yasir Mahmood Chaudhry, main accused Hammad Suleman appeared, while another accused Ramzan filed an application for exemption from appearance. However, other accused including Nadeem Asghar and Ramzan Iqbal did not appear, upon which the court issued their arrest warrants. Absar Alam could also not appear in the court, upon which the court summoned him again on the next hearing. Shalimar police had registered a case against six suspects for attempting to kill Absar Alam in April, 2021.
