KHAR: Three persons, including a woman, were killed for ‘honour’ in the Loi Kharki village of Wara Mamund tehsil of Bajaur district on Friday, police officials said.

They said a man identified as Zair Ali, son of Gili Ustad, opened fire on people allegedly over issues related to honour. The attack resulted in the immediate deaths of Ghani, son of Khaliq Jan, and Hasna Bibi, wife of Muhammad, both residents of Loi Kharki.

An elderly woman, Mashhoora Bibi, wife of the late Saleem Khan, was also caught in the gunfire and sustained serious injuries. She was rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital in Khar for treatment but succumbed to her injuries shortly after arrival.
