KARACHI: Invincibles and Strikers registered victories in their respective matches on Wednesday in the ongoing National Women’s T20 Tournament.
At the National Bank Stadium, Invincibles defeated Conquerors by 8 wickets. Batting first, Conquerors posted 107 for 8 in 20 overs, with captain Fatima Sana scoring 41 runs, including 7 boundaries. Neha Sharmeen was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 3 wickets for 14 runs.
In reply, Invincibles chased down the target in the 16th over, losing only two wickets. Ayesha Zafar scored 47 runs with 8 boundaries, while Omaima Sohail remained unbeaten on 44, smashing 7 boundaries. The pair added 91 runs for the second wicket.
Neha Sharmeen was named Player of the Match for her outstanding bowling performance. At the Oval Academy Ground, Strikers outclassed Stars by 9 wickets. Batting first, Stars managed 97 for 7 in their 20 overs, with Tuba Hassan scoring 30 runs. Ayesha Bilal and Anam Amin took two wickets each.
In response, Strikers reached the target in the 13th over, losing just one wicket. Gul Feroza remained unbeaten on 37, while Iman Fatima also stayed not out on 28. Noreen Yaqoob contributed 28 runs to the chase. Noreen Yaqoob was declared the Player of the Match.
