Muqam says armed forces have made entire country proud
PESHAWAR: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan, and SAFRON, as well as the provincial president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) Amir Muqam, has said that armed forces have made the entire country proud, and the nation fully acknowledges their sacrifices.
He expressed these views while talking to the media after congratulating the newly elected office-bearers of the Peshawar High Court Bar Association, Additional Advocate General Sanaullah, and other law officers from the Attorney General’s Office.
President of the Peshawar High Court Bar Association, Advocate Aminur Rehman, and General Secretary Ashfaq Ahmad Dawoodzai were also present on the occasion.Amir Muqam said that it was wrong to believe that a handful of people can impose their ideology on the majority. “We are determined to eradicate terrorism from its roots,” he said. “Just as we defended our country from external threats, we are equally capable of confronting internal challenges.”
The federal minister appealed to the nation to stand united against terrorism in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said that when the nation and the armed forces are on the same page, no power in the world can defeat them.
Referring to the Pahalgam incident, he said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had offered to join the investigation, but India remained silent. He appreciated the efforts of the prime minister and the foreign minister to expose India’s actions on the international stage.
Amir Muqam said that Pakistan’s armed forces had uplifted the nation’s pride not only at the national level but also internationally through their bravery, which had inspired every Pakistani. This is why, he explained, the nation is happy, and celebrations are being held across the country.
He added that Pakistan’s stance and the successes of its armed forces are now being recognized globally. “On the directives of the prime minister, a national day of thanksgiving was observed across the country to pay tribute to the sacrifices and achievements of our armed forces for national security,” the minister pointed out.
Speaking about the legal fraternity, he assured them that the federal government was serious about resolving their issues. “Whatever falls within our jurisdiction, we will surely address,” he said.
