KARACHI: Faysal Funds, Pakistan’s first certified Sharia-compliant asset management company, has been recognised with the Best Digital ESG Project award at The Asset Triple A Digital Awards 2025 for its innovative Mini App, developed in partnership with easypaisa.
The Mini App, integrated into Pakistan’s leading digital wallet platform, aims to broaden financial inclusion by providing unbanked and underserved populations with easy access to savings and investment services. With over 13 million active easypaisa users, the app allows individuals to open accounts, execute transactions and track investments directly from their mobile devices.
“This initiative is a game-changer for financial inclusion in Pakistan, offering seamless access to investment products for segments traditionally excluded from the formal financial system,” Faysal Funds said in a statement on Thursday.
Since its launch, the Mini App has enabled more than 265,000 previously unbanked individuals to access financial services, generating investment inflows of Rs260 million. The platform has also seen notable traction among women, with over 11 per cent of its active users identifying as female, particularly in rural and suburban regions.
Faysal Funds said the app is part of its broader mission to demystify financial products and foster a culture of savings nationwide. The company plans to roll out new features, including instant redemption options and specialised investment funds, to further enhance user engagement and expand its market reach.
