KARACHI: Gold prices remained stable in the local market on Thursday, with no change reported despite recent fluctuations in international bullion trade.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold held steady at Rs352,000 per tola. Likewise, the 10-gram gold rate remained unchanged at Rs301,783.
In the global market, gold prices also showed no movement, closing flat at $3,338 per ounce. Local gold prices are typically adjusted with a $20 premium over international rates to account for market dynamics and import costs. Silver prices also remained stable. The price of silver per tola held at Rs3,457, while the 10-gram silver rate stood unchanged at Rs2,963. After a series of sharp fluctuations earlier in the week, market activity on Thursday was subdued. Traders noted that investors are adopting a wait-and-see approach amid ongoing global economic uncertainties and recent corrections in the bullion market.
