HAFIZABAD: Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s Coordinator for Population Welfare Department Saira Afzal Tarar and Deputy Commissioner Abdul Razzaq visited schools outsourced by the Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) and reviewed the overall educational situation, teachers’ attendance, cleanliness and other arrangements.
They stated that the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, is taking comprehensive steps to promote education across the province and improve facilities for students in government schools.
The Chief Minister’s priority is to provide quality and better educational facilities to students in both urban and rural schools. Steps are being taken to further improve the educational situation in PEF-outsourced schools, leveraging the skills of experienced teachers to create better educational conditions for the students.
They went to different classrooms and sought feedback from the students about their schoolwork and homework, also asking them various curricular questions, which the children answered confidently.
SPORTS GALA HELD TO PROMOTE TEACHERS’ FITNESS: CEO Education Muhammad Akram Ashraf stated that, on the instructions of Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, a Teachers’ Sports Gala was organised in government schools of Hafizabad.
The sports gala featured cricket, badminton, tug-of-war, athletics, javelin throw, and other sports competitions between teachers from Tehsil Pindi Bhattian and Tehsil Hafizabad. The CEO Education noted that, on the special instructions of the provincial minister for school education in Punjab, a teachers’ sports gala has been organised for the first time in the province.
This programme provides teachers in government schools with an opportunity to participate in the promotion of sports and other positive activities, which is highly appreciated. He added that, under the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, the quality of education has improved in government schools across the province.
