Best facilities being ensured at PIC: minister

LAHORE:Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique visited the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) here on Friday and visited the Collection Centre, Emergency, OPD, Chief Minister Complaint Counter, Slip Counters, Medicine Store and other departments.

Khawaja Salman Rafique met the patients in the emergency and took feedback on the medical facilities. MS Dr Aamir Rafique Butt was also present on this occasion. The minister said that facilities were being created for the patients at the Punjab Institute of Cardiology and the system will improve with the collective efforts of everyone. The government provides a budget of billions of rupees every year to run government hospitals. MS gentlemen should create facilities for the patients. Visits to hospitals are being made on a daily basis. Direct feedback is being taken from patients about medical facilities by visiting hospitals.

100 patients shifted from remote areas through air ambulance

Provincial health minister has said that according to the vision of CM Maryam Nawaz, 100 critically ill patients have been transferred from remote areas to hospitals through the Air Ambulance Service.

According to a handout issued here on Friday, the Air Ambulance Service is the first service of its kind in Pakistan to be launched in Punjab with a goal to provide prompt modern medical facilities to patients from remote areas. Around 57 patients were transferred from Bahawalnagar, 36 from Mianwali, two from Rahim Yar Khan and five from other cities.
