UoH’s security supervisor terminated after video goes viral
HARIPUR: The administration of University of Haripur on Tuesday terminated the services of its security supervisor on the recommendation of a departmental inquiry committee.
A notification issued from the office of the assistant registrar, Establishment, University of Haripur, said that the vice-chancellor had notified a probe committee when video clips of security supervisor Safeer Ahmad went viral on social media.
The activists of Islami Jamiat-i-Talaba, the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, had staged a protest and had taken legal action against the official in question. The committee held an investigation to ascertain the facts and found the official guilty and recommended his termination from the service with immediate effect. “The University of Haripur has terminated the contractual services of Safeer Ahmad, security supervisor with immediate effect,” said the termination letter.
