4 killed, two injured in Charsadda firing incident

CHARSADDA: Four persons were killed and two others sustained injuries when two groups traded fire in Tarnab area after verbal arguments over a minor issue on Monday.

According to police, the altercation began over the removal of electrical wires from a pathway. What started as a minor disagreement quickly turned into a violent confrontation, with both parties opening indiscriminate fire at each other.

As a result, four persons, identified as Rasheen, Asim, Hazrat Ali, and Safdar, lost their lives, while two others, Salman and Zahid, sustained injuries. The deceased and injured were immediately shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, while one critically injured victim was later moved to Peshawar’s Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) due to their serious conditions.Both parties involved in the conflict were relatives, police officials said, adding that they have launched an investigation into the incident.
