Security situation in Orakzai reviewed
DIG Kohat visited Command and Control Room, where he received briefing from DPO on its operations
KOHAT: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Police of Kohat, Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat, on Thursday visited the Orakzai district to review the security situation and carry out other activities.
District Police Officer Nazir Khan received him. A contingent of Orakzai Police presented him with a guard of honour.
He chaired a meeting in the Orakzai Police Conference Room to discuss crime control, counter-terrorism efforts, and law and order. The DPO briefed him on the district’s security situation and crime statistics.
Later, DIG Kohat visited the Command and Control Room, where he received a briefing from the DPO on its operations. Expressing satisfaction with the security arrangements, he commended the efforts of the Orakzai Police.
He addressed a public forum at the Kalaya Jirga Hall which was attended local elders. The tribal elders gave suggestions for strengthening policing in the district.
The DIG Kohat promised strict action against drug dealers, festive firing, illegal display of weapons, and social crimes.
