LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lahore has intensified its crackdown on human traffickers under the directives of federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, registering 153 cases in 2025 so far. According to FIA officials, 46 human traffickers have been arrested this year, including high-profile fugitives and those involved in boat accident cases. Challans for 58 cases have been submitted to relevant courts, while convictions have been secured in 13 cases. FIA Lahore Director Sarfraz Khan Virk said that all available resources are being utilised to apprehend human traffickers. He emphasised that intelligence-based operations are ongoing against traffickers, urging people to use legal and safe channels for foreign travel.
