Int’l Day of Education marked
LAKKI MARWAT: The speakers at a function to mark the International Day of Education have called for ensuring access to education for every child to achieve the goal of promoting education in the country.
The district education office had arranged the function with support of the Boy Scouts Association at Government Higher Secondary School No. 3, in Michenkhel here to mark International Education Day.
Students from various schools also participated in the declamation contest on the occasion. In their speeches, they highlighted the importance of education, saying that the province as well as the country can be put on track to development if the entire focus is diverted to education.
Other speakers urged the youth and students to use online resources to obtain education and increase their knowledge by making useful use of the internet.
They asked the youth to focus on their education and to prepare themselves for future challenges.They said that the government should invest in youth development as they were the real assets of the country. The speakers also said that the government run schools should play a leading role to ensure every child gets his fundamental right of education.
