Trade balance with US in Pakistan’s favour

ISLAMABAD: The US has become the largest destination of Pakistani exports while Pakistan is the largest importer from China. Trade balance with the US is in Pakistan’s favour while it’s negative with China. In the first five months of the fiscal year, Pakistan’s exports to the US were high and imports were low, while Pakistan’s exports to China were low and imports were high. In the first five months of the fiscal year, Pakistan-US bilateral trade was $3.5 million. Pakistan’s exports to the United States in July-November 2024 were $2.45 billion. In the same period, the volume of imports from America was $59.42 million. Pakistan’s exports to the US increased by 14 per cent in the first five months of the fiscal year. In July and November, the volume of Pakistan-China bilateral trade was $7.194 billion. In the same period, Pakistani exports to China were $1.1246 billion. In the first five months of the financial year, imports from China were $6.7 billion. Imports from China increased by 15 percent in the same period. In the same period, Pakistan’s exports to China decreased by 14 per cent.
