Family of martyred cop gets house
LAHORE : He said police is actively working for the welfare of the families of its martyrs. In this regard, Dr Usman Anwar has provided a house to the family of another police officer who attained martyrdom in the line of duty.
The family of ASI Shehzad Ahmed, who was martyred, has been given a house worth Rs1.75 crore under the martyr’s quota. The house, fully equipped with all facilities, was purchased for the family according to their preference on Daska Road in Sialkot. Spokesperson for Punjab Police shared that ASI Shehzad Ahmed embraced martyrdom on August 16 of last year. The martyred officer's family includes his wife, two sons, and three daughters. Through the special efforts of IG Punjab, the Punjab govt released funds for the family’s house. Dr Usman Anwar paid rich tribute to the immortal sacrifice of Shehzad Ahmed. IG Punjab said that ASI Shehzad Ahmed laid down his life while protecting the lives and properties of the citizens, without any regard for his own safety.
