SUKKUR: Two more persons died after consuming poisonous liquor at Sakrand, Nawabshah district, in the last 24 hours.

Among the latest victims were Bashir Ahmed Zardari, a hotel worker from Village Imam Bakhsh Zardari, and Bashir Brohi, a resident of Village Imam Bakhsh Brohi.

On Monday, four victims—Mushtaq Ali, Moor Ali, Intizar, and Abdul Sallam—succumbed to liquor poisoning in the PK police station area near Sakrand.

In response to the alarming situation, SSP Shaheed Benazirabad ordered an inquiry into the matter.

A resident of Arbab Zardari has filed a police report, leading to the registration of an FIR against two drug dealers, Inayat Ali Khoso and Dilbar Khoso, under sections 109, 337/1, and 302. Police have apprehended Dilbar Khoso and pursuing other suspects in the illicit liquor trade.
