10 robbers killed in drone attack by Shikarpur police
First time drones are used against criminals hiding in the riverine areas
SUKKUR: Ten robbers were killed in a drone attack by the Shikarpur police. It is the first time drones were used against criminals hiding in the riverine areas. According to Shikarpur SSP Shahzeb Chachar, a joint operation by the police and Rangers targeting dacoits has been underway in the riverine areas of Shikarpur for the past 22 days. Due to high water levels in the river, armored vehicles were unable to reach the criminals.
Chachar noted that the use of drone technology has instilled fear among the criminals, as this is the first targeted operation utilizing drone cameras. He confirmed that among those killed in the operation were dacoits Adam Teghani, Hakim Teghani, and the masterminds behind the honey trap crimes, Dilbar and Manthar Teghani. Additionally, over 45 criminals have been reported injured during the ongoing operation.
