LANDIKOTAL: The Customs authorities at the Pak-Afghan Torkham border seized foreign-made military weapons, officials said on Monday.

In a media briefing, Customs Superintendent Muhammad Omar Jan said that a team intercepted a coal truck (registration number KBL51828) coming from Afghanistan after receiving credible information.

The team discovered 15 M4 rifles, 170 magazines, and over 5,100 rounds of ammunition hidden in secret compartments of the vehicle. The value of the seized arms and ammunition was put at 35 million rupees.

The officials stated that the seized arms were of American origin, and used in the Afghan war. A first information report was lodged and the case was transferred to the Customs House in Peshawar for further investigation.
