ISLAMABAD: Chairman of the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) Dr. Muhammad Raghib Hussain Naeemi has praised the Supreme Court of Pakistan for releasing the corrected detailed verdict in the Mubarak Sani case, saying that it truly reflects the aspirations of the faithful.

“The corrected detailed judgment in the Mubarak Sani case has removed the ambiguities caused by the previous two decisions from February and July of this year, and it reflects the aspirations of the faithful,” said the CII chairman in a statement.

He observed that the Supreme Court not only withdrew those earlier decisions but also provided arguments on Khatam-e-Nabuwwat (SAW) by referring to verses from the Holy Qur’an and the Ahadees of the Holy Prophet (SAW).

He pointed out that the Supreme Court rightly maintained that no individual has the right to call themselves a follower of a faith they deny, and therefore, Qadianis and Ahmadis cannot declare themselves as Muslims.

“As Pakistani citizens, it is now incumbent upon Qadianis to acknowledge their constitutional status,” he said.
