A global animal welfare organisation, Four Paws, has announced that its elephant experts will soon be back in Karachi as the work at the Safari Park to create a friendly space for elephants has now reached its final stage.
In a press statement issued on Tuesday, the organisation said it marks a significant milestone in the efforts to ensure a safe and secure species-appropriate environment for an African elephant named Madhubala, who will have a chance to be united with her sisters Malika and Sonia.
In the final preparations, the focus now is on completing the landscape of the elephant enclosure at the Safari Park, finalising enrichment features and continuing the necessary training of the three elephants.
The exact relocation date of Madhubala will be announced in the coming weeks. The Four Paws said it was grateful to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Mayor Murtaza Wahab for cooperation. Together, the partners are dedicated to ensuring a smooth and successful relocation of Madhubala and a reunion with her family at the Safari Park, the statement read.
