National Rahmatul-lil-Alameen Conference: Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) life termed role model
PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur said the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad’s (PBUH) life is a beacon of guidance for the entire humanity and his universal teachings encompass all aspects of life.
He said this while addressing the National Rahmatul-lil-Alameen Conference as the chief guest here on the 12th of Rabiul Awwal.A handout said the conference was attended by elected representatives, government officials, political and social figures, scholars from various schools of thought, and representatives of minority communities.
It was a key part of the provincial government’s events to mark Rehmat-ul-Alameen Week.Addressing the moot, the chief minister extended congratulations to the entire Muslim Ummah, especially the people of Pakistan, on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi.
He said the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was a source of mercy not only for the Muslim world but for all of humanity, and that the love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and adherence to his teachings were fundamental aspects of faith.
Gandapur said the Prophet (PBUH) taught lessons of humanity, love, peace, justice, and standing up against oppression; and his Farewell Sermon (Khutba Hajjat-ul-Wida) was a charter that would guide humanity until the end of time.
He added Islam did not spread through coercion but through the Holy Prophet (PBUH)’s noble character and conduct, Non-Muslims embraced Islam after being inspired by his good deeds, he added.
The chief minister emphasized that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) had clearly defined the rights of women, children, orphans, minorities, and even slaves, adding that by following his teachings, one could attain success both in this world and the hereafter.
He stressed the importance of introducing children to the Prophet’s (PBUH) great teachings because, without showing future generations the path laid out by him, the establishment of an Islamic welfare society would not be possible.
Gandapur praised the Department of Religious Affairs and other relevant departments for organizing the Rahmatul-lil-Alameen Week in the province in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi.
He later distributed prizes among those who had performed well in Qiraat and Naat competitions arranged in connection with the Rahmatul-lil-Alameen Week. Earlier, Provincial Minister for Religious Affairs Adnan Qadri and religious scholars shed light on various aspects of the Prophet’s life.
