ISLAMABAD: Multan is likely to host the first two Tests of the three-match series against England during the forthcoming October Test series against Pakistan.
‘The News’ when contacted one of the managers at a premier hotel in Multan, he confirmed that all the hotel rooms are booked for first 20 days of October, meaning there is all the likelihood that first two Test of the three-matches series will be played at the Multan Stadium where the Pakistan and South Africa women teams are in action these days.
The third Test however is scheduled to be played at the Pindi Stadium which also hosted two Test against Bangladesh last month. ‘The News’ has also learned that Pakistan team think-tank may also opt for Multan as the venue’s wicket is considered slower and likely to favour reverse swing because of rough patches. The element of reverse swing was missing during the Pakistan-Bangladesh series held at the Pindi Stadium due to grassy square and field.
