PESHAWAR: Safdar Khan Baghi has been named the general secretary of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML).
The party’s senior vice-president Chaudhry Salik Hussain issued a notification that assigned new responsibilities to Safdar Baghi who was previously serving as provincial information secretary of the party.
The party’s chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain hoped that Safdar Baghi would work more efficiently for the party in his new position.
It is worth mentioning here that Safdar Baghi was elected unopposed the nazim of Nautia Union Council after the martyrdom of his elder brother Asif Khan Baghi in suicide bombing at Dhakki Dalgarraan in Qissa Khwani in 2007. He was elected district council member from Nauthia in 2015 for his social services.
