Three members of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee were reportedly detained by law enforcement agencies from the Lyari neighbourhood on Wednesday.
Saddam Baloch, Shahdad Baloch, and Basit Baloch apprehended while allegedly distributing pamphlets and engaging in wall chalking activities ahead of the Baloch Raji Machi event. The committee claimed that the arrests were made by DSP Kalakot Asif Munawar, who has since held the men in illegal confinement. However, when contacted for comment, he denied any involvement in the arrests, stating that the police had not taken anyone into custody. He added that he was unaware of any crackdown targeting the Baloch community in Lyari and asserted that the accusations against him were baseless.
