TikTok craze: Two arrested for throwing blind man into flood
WANA: Two individuals have been apprehended in South Waziristan Lower district, following a disturbing incident where they threw a blind and elderly person into floodwaters to film a TikTok video.
District Police Officer (DPO) Farmanullah swiftly intervened upon learning of the incident and ordered the arrest of the culprits. Both the accused were promptly taken into custody by the authorities and shifted to Wana City Police Station on Sunday.
The reprehensible act, intended for social media content, garnered widespread condemnation on various platforms. Social media users demanded the immediate arrest of those responsible for the callous act, which took place in the Zarmelon area of Toi Khullah tehsil.In response to public outcry, the DPO took notice and the police launched an investigation into the matter. The arrestees admitted to their involvement in filming the TikTok video featuring the vulnerable individual.
