LAHORE: A police officer, who had stopped the vehicle of an MPA for having tinted windows, has been transferred.

Sub-Inspector (TSI) Yasir stopped a vehicle with tinted glasses for a routine check, but the situation quickly spiraled out of control when MPA Malik Waheed came out of it.

The entire matter came to surface when a video of the issue went viral. In the video, the MPA can be heard telling the police officer to apologise or face consequences.

The sub-inspector and his colleagues apologised, but the matter did not end and the police officer was transferred from the police station to the judicial wing of the police lines.

In response, MPA Malik Waheed Awan stated in a video message that after winning the election, he came to express gratitude to Anjuman Tajran for their support during the rally in his constituency.

He claimed that the police deliberately stopped his vehicle, attempting to ridicule him in public under the guise of a search operation.

He emphasised that as a public representative, such derogatory behaviour in front of the people was unacceptable.
