PML-N lawyer wing leader joins PTI
The senior vice president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Lawyers Forum, Advocate Nadeem Shahzad Hashmi, joined the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday.
He made the formal announcement of his decision to join the PTI after meeting Sindh PTI President Haleem Adil Sheikh.
Hashmi was accompanied by Insaf Lawyers Forum (ILF) Karachi President Zahoor Mehsud, Advocate Manzoor Bhatta, Advocate Haneef Noonari, Advocate Khan Zaman Khattak, Advocate Asghar Joya, Advocate Nazirullah Mehsud, Advocate Liaqat Hussain, Advocate Zahida, Advocate Shahida, Advocate Asima, Advocate Dilbar Ajaz, Advocate GM Azad, Advocate Imran Rana, Advocate Rashid, Advocate Muhammad Rashid, Advocate Farhan and other lawyers.
The Sindh PTI president presented Hashmi with the PTI cap and congratulated him on joining the PTI. Sheikh also praised the ILF, saying, "Just as lawyers stood with Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in the movement for Pakistan, lawyers are now playing their role in advancing the ideology of Imran Khan."
He added that in the struggle for real freedom, the role of the legal fraternity was crucial. He appreciated Hashmi for leaving the PML-N and joining the PTI.
