Shah Faisal Utmankhel appointed new KP AG
The KP Law Department issued a notification about his appointment
PESHAWAR: The provincial president of Insaf Lawyers Forum, Shah Faisal Utmankhel, has been appointed as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Advocate General. The appointment was made after the governor approved the summary sent to him by the chief secretary. The KP Law Department issued a notification about his appointment. The resignation of his predecessor Aamir Javed was also accepted. He served as KP Advocate General for the last 13 months. The additional advocate generals would also be appointed soon. It may be mentioned that Shah Faisal Utmankhel represented the workers and leaders of the PTI in a number of cases registered against them in connection with the May 9 violence. He also appeared on behalf of the PTI leaders seeking transit bails and the details of the cases registered against them. Shah Faisal Utmankhel has also served as general secretary of the district bar association and a member of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council.
He is considered an authority on criminal cases and constitutional affairs.
