ISLAMABAD: PTI-backed independent candidate Rehana Dar, who contested against PMLN’s Khawaja Asif from NA-71, Sialkot, has alleged that she was tortured by the police in the office of the Returning Officer (RO).
She told the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) if a big lead was converted into a defeat, why one should not feel bad, as wall of lies was erected in front of a truth.
Rehana Dar said, “My victory was turned into defeat, I have seen many elections in my life, but regret these elections.”
She claimed that Khawaja Asif had occupied (constituency) for 27 years. “We defeated him, but he got ballot papers stamped with the cooperation of the police,” she maintained saying that hopefully justice would be done.
