Preparations for Pakistan Day parade kick-start

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has started preparations for the Pakistan Day Joint Services Parade at Shakarparian Parade Ground on March 23.
The Ministry of Defence had already written letters to the ministries, divisions and chief secretaries of the four provinces, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan seeking lists of officials by February 15 who are to be invited to the Pakistan Day Parade.
The Ministry of Defence had already dispatched similar letters to the President House, Prime Minister House, National Assembly and Senate secretariats.
As per tradition, the President of Pakistan attends the prestigious event as the chief guest in presence of prime minister, cabinet members, senior civil and military officers and diplomats based in Islamabad. Meanwhile, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has also started beatification work and plantation at and around the parade ground.
