ISLAMABAD: Federal cabinet has appointed Irteza Ali Qureshi as Managing Director of Pak-Arab Refinery Company (PARCO) for a three-year term.
Officials of the Energy Ministry told The News, Irteza Qureshi had also rendered his service in OGDCL as Chief Financial Officer and after that, he held his last position in PARCO as Deputy Managing Director (DMD-Finance). For the post of MD PARCO, eight candidates were shortlisted. Of them, 7 candidates appeared for the interview. Mr Iretza Qureshi stood first on merit in the list of candidates.
“The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) earlier also granted permission to the government to appoint MD, PARCO. The federal cabinet has accorded approval to the appointment of Irteza Ali Qureshi as PARCO MD on the summary of the petroleum division.”
