In this regard, two major rallies were carried out in the City i.e. first in NA-127 where PMLN’s Atta Tarar was facing PPP’s Co-Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and the other in NA-122 where PMLN’s senior leader Khwaja Saad Rafique was contesting.

In Sunday’s rally in NA-122, the Azad Kashmir's former PM Farooq Haider and former speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq also joined Khwaja Saad Rafique.

Khawaja Saad Rafiq while addressing the rally said the national institutions of this country needed reforms and this was the responsibility of the politicians and institutions to be on same page.

The former federal minister criticised Bilawal Bhutto by saying that a young man has come to Lahore, he forgot his friendship and the time when he kept saying that he learned a lot from Shehbaz Sharif.

Saad Rafiq’s rally was held in Guhawa Pind where he said that the poor did not come in the fraud of political parties but the rich conspired against the development of Pakistan. PMLN will run the wheel of business and provide employment, but some people did not like the look of Nawaz Sharif, he said, adding the PDM government worked very hard in its 16-month government and save the country from default.

He said the PTI government put PMLN leaders in jails, insulted us, sometimes called Modi’s agents, sometimes traitors, sometimes out of faith and Islam, sometimes thieves, but failed to provide any proof.

He taunted that Khan was very fond of going to jail so he finally reached his destination due to his own failures and blunders. He said Khan was not happy in the jail. Saad Rafique said four to five metro buses would have been running in Lahore had Nawaz Sharif not been expelled by conspiring in 2017 and now if the PMLN comes to power, he would connect the metro buses to Ring Road. He said that lawlessness and unemployment were not the failure of PDM’s 16-month government but was the result of the PTI’s agreement with the IMF, their faulted economic policies, their corruption and their incompetence.

Azad Kashmir’s former Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider said that the wound of 2018 on the souls of all the Pakistanis was fresh when India annexed Kashmir. The people of Lahore have the strongest relationship with the people of Kashmir, he said, adding it was a pity for those who dealt with Kashmir and didn’t respond to India.

On February 8, 2024, we have to vote for the development and the name of development of the country is Nawaz Sharif. He requested the people to vote for PMLN while holding the flags of Kashmir.

Meanwhile, in a rally cum corner meeting in NA-127, PMLN candidate and central leader Attaullah Tarar said that Bilawal Bhutto was challenging us to debate, let us show him the progress of Punjab.

‘If we show you health facilities in Punjab, you will lose your senses and will be ashamed and if this does not happen, I will withdraw from the election,’ he challenged Bilawal Bhutto. He claimed that Lion was going to become the Prime Minister for the fourth time and the people of NA-127 will tell Bilawal how the lion hunt an arrow.

Addressing the meeting in NA-127 Township, Attaullah Tarar said that Bilawal has come from Karachi to Lahore and compared himself with Nawaz Sharif but a worker of Nawaz Sharif was standing in front telling him about the construction and development of the province.

He said whenever Nawaz Sharif came, he implemented plans that lead to development while the opponents planned and executed 9th May. He said PMLN was the founder of 28 May. He said that the PPP leaders were the kings of corruption. He claimed that bodies were found in sacks in Karachi and when extortion and killings went out of hands, people of Karachi called Nawaz Sharif who restored peace in Karachi.

He said the PPP’s agenda was to do corruption in the name of politics but this time the Lahore, which was the fort of PMLN, will reject them and make them run away.
