QUETTA: Unidentified armed men on Saturday shot dead National Party leader Mir Ghulam Hussain Sarpara in the Gardigap area of Mastung.
According to Levies Force, Sarpara was fired at by the attackers riding on a motorcycle at his agriculture land in Gardigap area. The assailants managed to escape from the scene.
The injured Sarpara was shifted to a hospital where he breathed his last. The law enforcement personnel cordoned off the entire area to trace the suspects. Sarpara remained district nazim Mastung.
Meanwhile, former Balochistan Chief Minister Balochistan Dr Abdul Malik Baloch and National Party spokesman Mir Jan Buledi in a statement condemned the incident, saying the party had lost a great leader. They urged the government to bring the killers to justice.
